| PUBLIC ACCESS BUILDINGS | ||
| New Haven Firehouses • New Haven, Connecticut | ||
| It is well known that neighborhood stations dramatically cut the response time of firefighters to a scene. In doing so, the consequences of an event can be arrested quickly. The firefighter's mission to save lives and property becomes much more attainable. | ||
|
Carlin, Pozzi and Chin, a New Haven based architectural firm, had built a substantial reputation designing public service buildings throughout Connecticut. With the City of New Haven seeking experienced designers to upgrade the quality of these two neighborhood stations, this team was a natural choice. |

The buildings are highly focused on both form and function. All agree that they make a positive impact on the quality of their neighborhoods, and provide a suitable living opportunity for the full time firefighter. |
