While an older project, this is noteworthy because it represents a first in its category accomplishment by Giordano. The delivery of this community college was achieved under what would be the State of Connecticut's first turnkey project. |

Seeking an expedient solution to what had become an urgent need, the State was attempting to find an alternative to its otherwise conventional and long drawn out design/bid/build system. Recognizing the success HUD was experiencing with Turnkey developments, the State was convinced that it, too, might be able to have a similar experience. |

In choosing Giordano, the State had selected one of the very few companies with a successful track record in this type of development. And successful it was – 10 months after the start of the design documents, this 150,000 square foot facility was delivered to the school for classroom use. By all measures, this was a milestone accomplishment in the annals of the Department of Public Works. |
